Meet Lyndsey

Lyndsey Hurst Rudder was raised in Gainesville, Georgia. She attended Gainesville High School and continued her education at Furman University on a scholarship for Track and Cross Country. Lyndsey received her bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science before returning to Georgia to continue her education at the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. During her time at Mercer, Lyndsey invested in her academic community by competing in national Moot Court Competitions, and also served as an assistant coach for the Women’s Cross Country Team.

Lyndsey began her legal career working in the Georgia Attorney General’s Office on criminal appeals and capital litigation. She then went on to work In the private sector before moving to Savannah and creating the Chatham County criminal appellate division at the Chatham County DA’s office. Lyndsey and her husband, Bennett returned to Atlanta after their first son Tripp was bon. Both Bennett and Lyndsey wanted to return to the city to raise their family. Lyndsey now serves as the Deputy District Attorney, where she fights crime daily.

Lyndsey, Bennett, Tripp, and Maclin reside in the Springlake neighborhood of Atlanta where Lyndsey is a member of the Springlake Neighborhood Association and Garden Club. The Rudders are members of Northside United Methodist Church. Lyndsey and Bennett spend their weekends watching their sons play Buckhead Baseball and with two young boys, the Rudders love exploring the beltline and being outdoors.

Lyndsey is a wife, mother, and prosecutor. She has dedicated her career making her community safer for not only her family but also her neighbors.
